| *KNF
recommends the use of PowerDry®, our self-drying vacuum
pump. This optional feature (.40) greatly increases the
efficiency of the pumping process, and periodically clears out
the liquid accumulating within the pump. |

| Pumps for Gel Dryers, Concentraters, Vacuum Ovens and Dry
Ice Trap |
|
KNF offers a wide array of dry vacuum pumps for use with Gel Dryers,
Vacuum Concentrators, and Vacuum Ovens. They are available as stand-alone pumps or equipped
with the unique, patented PowerDry® feature. PowerDry® offers
an innovative solution to the problem of liquids accumulating inside a pump during periods
of low flow. Unless occasionally removed from the pump heads, their presence may increase processing
time, reduce pump efficiency and shorten life. PowerDry® systems
cycle every few minutes, removing accumulated moisture instantly without disturbing
your vacuum process.

Self-Cleaning
Vacuum Pumps for Saturated Vapors
A new, patent-pending self-cleaning diaphragm pump designed specifically
to reduce process time for gel dryers, vacuum ovens, vacuum concentrators and even
rotary evaporators.
Saturated vapors condense and accumulate within a vacuum pump's heads due to insufficient
air flow thru the unit. This condensate reduces pump efficiency and extend processing time.
These self-cleaning pumps feature an electronically-controlled valve that periodically
meters ambient air into the pump. The sudden flow of air forces liquids out of the pump
heads, immediately restoring efficiency and reducing processing time. Chamber vacuum
levels are unaffected. In addition, solid PTFE heads and diaphragms provide the maximum
corrosion resistance available.
Unlike other self-cleaning pumps that cycle at the end of
the vacuum process, PowerDry® operates throughout the proces,
when you need it most.

PUMP ACCESSORY
Glass Dry Ice Trap kit used with Gel Dryers, Vacuum Ovens
The model UST800 glass dry ice trap (formerly PU850) is a liquid solvent collecting
device for use with gel dryers, rotary evaporators and vacuum concentrators, where the desired
solvent collection capacity does not exceed 400 ml. Placed between a vacuum pump and the process
chamber, the trap increases pump efficiency and reduces process time. Designed for use with
KNF's LABOPORT® vacuum pumps, it also prevents liquid condensate from reaching the pump.
The trap is supplied with angled hose connectors, quick disconnects, acrylic plastic lid, and
a 30 cm length of Tygon® tubing. A datasheet can be downloaded HERE.

NOTES: Standard continuous performance
ratings listed on this KNF website and on KNF datasheets are
based on technical data and test results of nominal units at
sea level, measured with an ambient temperature of 70°F
(21°C), and nominal
electrical supply as listed above, and are for reference only.Multiple-head
models, different performance models, cost-effective OEM modifications, and
a variety of motor options and different materials of construction are also
available. Certified drawings are available upon request. Specifications subject
to change without notice. You should always check corrosion resistance charts
for compatibility with the medium you intend to pump.
