SC920 System SC920 Wireless Remote Control

The system supports four different operating modes, all accessible from the remote control:

  • vessel evacuation, with adjustable pump capacity
  • constant pressure control, managed precisely to chosen values
  • automatic detection of the sample’s vapor pressure
  • intelligent regulation of process pressure according to a user-defined pressure curve.

The pump’s diaphragm stabilization system provides high suction speeds even at low pressures, and the SC920 is suitable for most models of rotary evaporators.

The pump is easy to control with the intuitive user guide: all process parameters are entered and adjusted with the wireless remote control, using the simple touchscreen and user-friendly control knob. Relocate the SC920 system away from your processing equipment to save valuable lab space, avoid needless opening of the fume hood, and no tangled cables. The pump can also be controlled via a PC using Windows-based software.

KNF's Model UNC800 Vacuum Controller lets you take control of your evaporative process. Select your preset levels with the touch of a button.  It prevents foaming and boiling, and vents instantly when needed.
Unlike other brands, this controller has no metal components in the gas stream, avoiding frequent, expensive off-site repairs. Coupled with a Laboport pump, your cost of ownership is minimal. The FFPM valve system is completely accessible from the rear of the unit for a quick on-site cleaning, if necessary, using only a screwdriver.

UNC800 Controller Advantages

Reliable, Maintenance-free Operation, Low Cost of Ownership

KNF uses only premium, corrosion-resistant polypropylene and FFPM resin parts in contact with the gas stream - there are no metal (stainless steel) parts in the gas stream to corrode or replace, avoiding expensive factory repairs and reducing your cost of ownership. The UNC800 is designed to be virtually maintenance-free. All wetted components are easily accessed from the outside for occasional cleaning, using only 3 screws. Never a need to open the cabinet.

Maintains Accurate Control Throughout Your Process

The UNC800 tough, ceramic vacuum sensor maintains system vacuum precisely (to within ±0.2%) wherever you need it, for the duration of your evaporative process. The 12-bit microprocessor electronics is user-friendly, intuitive, and configurable within minutes.

Get Repeatable, Consistent Results

You are in complete control. Non-volatile memory remembers your vacuum settings  — move between them during each processing step — there’s no more guesswork or shutdown required. The UNC800 helps avoid foaming and boiling. Store up to five settings for routine solvents, daily projects or even for users on different shifts.

Includes Many Features Not Found on other Controllers

Instant purge and vent control. Auto short-cycle compensation, and more, all at your fingertips are included in the UNC800. Because we listened to extensive, in-lab focus groups such as users like yourself, it’s easy to use — and it’s priced right, too!

Easy Setup and Cleanup in Minutes

Simply connect the UNC800 barbed tubing ports to the vacuum pump and to the vacuum system using 3/8" ID tubing. Plug your KNF vacuum pump into the rear of the controller and plug the controller into a wall outlet. It's that easy. No outboard valves, wires or bolted connections to contend with. All cleanable parts are easily accessed from the exterior of the cabinet by removing only 3 screws.

LABOPORT® USC800 Series Vacuum Pump Systems for the Laboratory

Your Choice: A stand-alone pump or a complete vacuum pump system

We suggest KNF's versatile vacuum pump system to give you complete control over your evaporative process. Lightweight and portable, you can move the system anywhere you need a convenient, clean vacuum source. There's no more guessing at the vacuum level in your vessel either; simply choose the desired level on the controller front panel and let the system do the rest. Vacuum is precisely maintained at ±0.2% and is displayed in the large, brilliant LED display. Repeatable results are assured, batch after batch.

The system includes a dry, oil-free LABOPORT® pump for fast performance. With heads made of solid PTFE resin, you'll get years of trouble-free performance without concern about damaging the pump with aggressive medium. Unlike other brands, all components are out in the open for cleaning or occasional maintenance. Models are available to 1.5 Torr vacuum. No messy pump oil or aspirator water/drain is ever required.
