The ATEX standard for explosion prevention and protection concerns both the electrical and mechanical systems of the pump. This places greater responsibility on the manufacturer to design the product to meet elevated protection levels. KNF Neuberger offers pumps for:

• Up to Temperature Class T4 (Max. Surface Temp. 135°C/275°F)

The pumps are designed and documented to the ATEX standard. This applies both to the internal and external explosion prevention and protection.

	KNF's model N860 series solid-PTFE pumps increases the explosion-proof product range to 110 LPM (3.9 CFM). The series is available in three head configurations: single head, two-stage for deep vacuum, and parallel-head (shown at left) for high flow requirements. Utilizing KNF's patented, multi-port valve design, they can handle occasional condensate without loss of performance. These pumps reach up to 29.86 in. Hg using only two heads, saving space, power requirements and cost of ownership.
