About Heated-Head Pumps and Controls
These heat-resistant and heated-head series of air and gas diaphragm pumps
represent one of KNF's many specialized designs. Equipped for the efficient transport of hot
gas samples in environmental and analytical instruments, they handle gas temperatures up to
460°F (240°C). Special construction isolates the bearings and motor from the heat for
longer component life. The heated-head model uses an electrically-heated cartridge regulated
by a thermostat or an optional programmable temperature controller, to maintain specified head
temperature. Heating the heads prevents condensate from forming within the head, reducing pump
corrosion and eliminating sample component dropout.
Supplied without the heating system, the heat-resistant model uses identical heat-isolating
construction and is ideal for handling hot, gaseous samples. Other
element temperatures are available.
